The North Bay Slave Sale of 1846
|
More than 30 slaves were sold on January 15, 1846 in St. Helena. These men, women and children were sold by John B. and Mary E. Scott to John Fields and Charles Carrington. The sale fetched the Scotts’ more than $9,500.
